Ted Bundy declined a 'special' meal, so was given the traditional last meal - steak (medium rare) eggs (over easy), hash browns, toast with butter, jelly, milk and juice. Timothy McVeigh asked only for 2 pints of mint chocolate chip ice cream. What would you pick?
Something at an “All You Can Eat” buffet. LOL!
Probably overcooked, which ruins them.
My favorite way to eat them is raw, but since being diagnosed with an auto immune disease, I order them steamed or Rockefeller. They are still my favorite food in any manner served.
LOL! GMTA! (See post #25).
In Daddy’s last year, I was the only child who lived near him. I would do his shopping as Mother had died a couple of years earlier.
He would commonly have me get him a pint of oysters around twice a week. He would have steak just about every day. He would only eat a small part of the steak and the dog would get the rest.
He could afford it but it was still wasteful so I eventually bought only rib eyes and had the butcher cut them into two pieces. He still did not eat the whole thing.
How about roast dodo?

I wasn’t planning on actually eating any.
My mother wanted pumpkin pie, sometimes she ate it for breakfast.
Your father and my mother were granted their wishes and ate their favorite foods as they declined in this life.
maine lobster roll, steamed clams, potato chips, corn on the cob, a heineken and key lime pie for dessert
The odd thing about Daddy is he liked every kind of food there was. If it was something he really liked he would close his eyes while he was chewing and swallowing.
I once had a first cousin ask me why he did that. I told her he was just enjoying his food. Mother once told me she had never served him anything that he didn’t like.
A 1.5 lb flank steak barbequed well done, sliced on the bias about 1/4 inch thick with plenty of salt, baked potato with real butter, sour cream and chives, and Italian cut green beans. Pasta salad on the side. Real chocolate mint ice cream for desert.
I’m getting hungry :)
Apalachicola oysters are unbelievably good. I was just there a few weeks ago for the oyster cook off to benefit the fire department. I’m in Ft Walton Beach now till April(noticed you previous post. You’re lucky to have grown up around here. I love the panhandle.
Abalone!
Yes I love the panhandle. I was born near DeFuniak Springs and only left when I got married and got a job in a different area. Spent most of my life living in other parts of the country and liked every single place but there is no place like home.
A ten-day diet
They probably wouldn’t give it to me, but if it’s the last meal I’m gonna have on this earth, this is my choice:
Shrimp cocktail to start
20 ounce porterhouse, rare. Baked potato and creamed spinach on the side.
Dessert to consist of a very fine cigar and a very stiff glass of good scotch.
Eat that and you’ll have the heart attack before getting the chair.
Bacon fried in butter!
An all you can eat buffet.
