I have that script. Once, for fun, I ran a report on the first Undead Thread, which had over 65,000 posts. It took it about 10-15 minutes to run.
LOL — that's kinda funny. (Did you do the poster report, or the tree-view?)
Poster report. If I did the tree-view, I’d probably still be waiting for it to render today. I hardly use that feature because it’s gets S L O W when looking at threads with a lot of sub-conversations (many branches in the tree).
I never tried to cut n paste the table, though. Never wanted to do anything with the data.
Dogs are good, because they make good sacrifices to the Police Gods.
She should have bowed down and averted her eyes when they were near.
Austin is doubly burdened.
It not only has the state university, it has the state capitol -- which means lots of government workers (who like lots of government).
Hm, I find it doesn't start really slowing down until about 300 posts.
I use treeview a lot; it really helps organize the conversation(s).
You’re so civic-minded!
.
I remember reading that story. Good for the customers.
No you aren’t the only one who thought that. :)
Her shirt read “tragedy” ? .....
Austin is sadly a tragedy of errors by polidiots, presstitutes and liberal socialists. I avoid the place. Vote with my dollars by not spending any time in or around Austin Texas or businesses based in Austin. Go out of my way to bypass all things and places Austin . IMO its a cancer on the entire state and one of many in this nation...... Damn an doom those that did it, allowed it to degrade and still support its incremental destruction. It will, if ever, take decades to restore and eradicate the infestation of socialist liberal asshats from the University and the city of Austin.
Remember folks, vote with your dollars and time between elections....starve the beast.
That said ....l Hope yer well Liberty.
Stay safe !
I heard about this on the KLBJ talk shows yesterday. I figured there would be a thread on FR. Art Acevedos PD is one of the worst ever. I'm glad I seldom have to go into Austin city limits anymore. I never got stopped by the PD there, but saw they parked an empty cruiser on the Loop 1 center medium about 1/2 mile from the 183 flyover ramp during rush hour traffic. Talk about screwing up homebound traffic...
Now Capital Metro has that Rapid Bus system and ads talking about free WiFi on the busses. The ad ends with people laughing at the cars stuck in traffic. Well DUH!! Cap Metro took a lane in each direction to make strictly bus lanes and the fines for driving in them is $500 for the first offense. That and the bike lanes . . . don't get me started on that. The fat @$$ cops should be looking to arrest all the bikers that ignore traffic laws.
I can’t remember the last time I went in to Austin for anything .It’s all followed us out to the suburbs and what used to be small towns near Austin.
I hate that a .
Well, I have to go to Austin Heart hospital for my semi annual exam and heart sonograms for a bicuspid aortic valve and dread the trip.
Those are three trips I cannot avoid. I usually stop by Camp Mabry each time so I don’t have to make additional trips.
Ass.
Now I know why my tires were marked when I was visiting my son in San Jose. Luckily, no tickets...... that I know of!
I hope she sues the crap out of them.
I just went out and left a comment on the Austin police departments “police monitor” site.
If anyone is interested. Man this story just pisses me off.

To all of the folks who think that jogging with headphones is a good idea, may I suggest you try the lovely Katy Trail in Dallas. No cars to worry about - just bicycles.

Or perhaps a jog on the beach with your ipod might be just the thing.

I don’t really recommend that you do it along train tracks, however.

And if jogging with buses, you might want to leave off the sunglasses, as well.

I’m lucky to have a great GP out here-—very low key, doesn’t prescribe stuff just to prescribe stuff. he graduated top of his class from Rice Medical school—is certainly no dummy.
Not a lot of personality, but I’ve got enough for the both of us—LOL!
I tell him what I think I need—he mulls it over and usually says “sure—why not?”
Great guy.
I’m several years past major heart attack—cardiac arrest 3 times during that deal—wasn’t a lot of fun but I’m still on this side of the ground.
Haven’t driven in to Austin to see the group of cardiologists who saved me that day in several years-—
Is this more than anyone here needs to know?
