Frequently people change into more comfortable shoes that they can slip off when they fly on planes...

Fuddy’s shoes were all black.

Two problems with that.

1) You're assuming that Fuddy wore the same shoes on the plane as she wore while conducting business. Lots of women love to wear nice heels while attending meetings, but put on their tennies after a long day. Fuddy certainly could have had comfortable shoes back at the plane.

2) If Fuddy didn't have comfortable shoes along, she could have removed her shoes when she sat down. Her feet could have been tired and swollen. She may not have even thought of putting her shoes back on when the alarms sounded. Or she may have thought that she didn't want shoes weighting her down.

So, no, Fuddy may or may not have had black shoes on when the plane crashed. You cannot assume that she did.

"Fuddy’s shoes were all black."

No, they were not.

This is the shot from inside the plane. Fuddy's shoes have black upper portion with a dramatically lighter color sole (yellow?).
