The only problem with that scenario is that Loretta Fuddy had a very public viewing with hundreds of mourners passing by her open casket, followed by a very public funeral attended also by hundreds of mourners including her family. The Governor of Hawaii, who personally knew Fuddy, spoke at her funeral.

Which, if it were true, wouldn’t be a problem because they can always use a Hollywood-style mock-up. Which is why I didn’t even check into the funeral at first - I assumed that’s what they would have done if it was a faked death.
But I don’t believe that is true, because if it was true they would not have had to photoshop the newsclip showing those mourners.
