Who filmed all of that?

The videographer was Ferdinand Puentes, a roofer who was there for the day to roof St Francis Church, in a contract that had to be negotiated with the HDOH.

He had 2 GoPro cameras with him and put on a mouthpiece after he got his life jacket on so he was definitely prepared for underwater work that day. He said he had just gotten done videotaping the takeoff and when he heard the plane’s warning horn go off he turned the camera back on, but in the video you can clearly see that the video was on - and videotaping the PASSENGERS, not the plane - BEFORE the horn sounded.

His public “social media” comments before Dec 11th were mostly about the fish he had caught, but on Dec 11th he posted a photo of himself taking off for Kalaupapa - a place he was at frequently, according to an interview he gave when he came out with these photos. For some reason he wanted to document that day.

He had this video for a month before making it publicly available. He said that he had combined still shots. I guess that took a month. Not sure why he did that instead of just posting the whole video...
