Still in use.
“state-of-the-art automatic weapons”
What does that mean? Sounds like the author is a typical dumbass liberal that knows nothing of firearms.
Unfortunately, I have to agree. They were taken in large numbers in New Orleans without a single shot fired in response.
We shall fight and not be allowed to die!
They can come to our homes but we won’t be there...we’ll be at THEIR homes.
However, of those 90 million there is a significant proportion of military veterans quite accustomed to employing the sort of operations that now will be pointed at them and not overly inclined to sit back and take it. It simply isn't the case that the heart of a tiger present in active duty personnel is removed when one receives one's DD214. Troops prosecuting these operations will be facing their older, more experienced, and nearly as well-armed counterparts. Naturally they will not possess the advantages of artillery, armor, or air that the police state will. They'd be fools to engage them on those grounds, and they're not fools.
Frankly I don't see a lot of difference between the chest-pounding nonsense certain keyboard patriots are fond of and the chest-pounding "you'll all bow down" nonsense the author is propounding. There's a real world out here, and it can be a very unpleasant place.
“No, but those Marines took an oath to uphold the Constitution, and most of them are smart enough to know when their orders countervene the Constitution - don’t tell the leftists.”
I might add that there are a huge number of us that may not be falling in for formation each morning, but we’re still here and still honor our Oath of Enlistment. Just because we are no longer “active” does not mean that we have forgotten what we trained for.
“A Marine is a Marine. I set that policy two weeks ago - there’s no such thing as a former Marine. You’re a Marine, just in a different uniform and you’re in a different phase of your life. But you’ll always be a Marine because you went to Parris Island, San Diego or the hills of Quantico. There’s no such thing as a former Marine.
General James F. Amos, 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps”
“There are only two kinds of people that understand Marines: Marines and the enemy. Everyone else has a second-hand opinion.
Gen. William Thornson, U.S. Army”
“Freedom is not free, but the U.S. Marine Corps will pay most of your share.

Don't bet on it. It sounds like they are slowly purging anyone in the military who respects the Constitution, doesn't celebrate gay sex and/or speaks ill of Dear Leader
Phuck u jim karger. You can roll over.
“I will have nothing to do with it.”
While most of your post gives me hope because it sounds like a pretty reasonable scenario...
I still have to ask. Based on your statement above, what are YOU gonna do when they come for your guns (if any)?
Yeah it would be implacable. The fight would get nasty but much of the military would revolt.
The best way to engage one’s own military is verbally. Whatever they’ve been told up to that point is likely BS, and they don’t much like the idea of shooting mom and dad.
Even in countries like Iran, Venezuala, and Ukraine, you see a very large hesitation to use the military, because the leadership is afraid of what side the majority of them might take.
Not to get too drawn out, but rapture, then tribulation...
Prep for thin times, any leftovers can go to those left behind.
Cheers,

‘Napalm’ is still around as a weapon, they use jet fuel instead of gasoline. I doubt the target can tell the difference in the flame temp. As for WP, be careful, in the grenade form, its effective casualty radius (ECR) is farther than a lot of people can throw it.
Many recent recruits to the military are immigrants (legal) to the USA and have no tradition of individual freedom where they come from, but rather a tradition of asking how high to jump when the government says frog.
