The militarization of US police forces is ongoing and escalating. Many cities and towns now own tanks, armed personnel carriers, even attack helicopters, and almost all are outfitted with military weapons not available to the general public.
And, it is not just your hometown cops who are getting new boy-toys. The military itself is buying up weaponry not just for use in the current or next scheduled war, but to deal with the likes of you...
Also ignored (as if it didn’t even exist) is the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 which generally bars the military from law enforcement activities within the United States.
According to Public Intelligence:

Conventional battle with the military is a loser, not so with the police. Take a look at Ukraine, where SWAT teams are surrendering, and those aren’t pissed off American patriots.

More likely it will be nine platoons of para-military Obamabots for a slice of the city and they will be taken on with 16 columns of militia.
As for the Marines, once some start going over to the other side...many will.
Disagree. Anybody who barricades themselves in with their firearms is looking for martyrdom. A few Martyrs are always useful to the cause, but those weapons eventually come out when targets of opportunity present.

The only one they’d get is the only one they know I have. And that’s only because it’s a 22 pistol and not worth lying about.
Many in the military should be prepared to have their own homes raided as they have their own personal weapons cached at home.
Well they allow that to happen?
In the beginning, the “shock and awe” isolated SWAT raids will succeed in taking down their opponents- conservatives, Christians veterans etc.
But there will be a tipping point that will force resistors groups underground, and then the resistance will counterattack asymmetrically using techniques that would likely be very effective. Just think of the number of firearms owned by the public, the number of highly trained veterans (snipers and explosives experts). The government tyrants and their families will not be safe in most areas of this country. Think also of the nerdy hackers that will take down computer, electrical and weapons systems.
I’m not talking about using them only when they come to “your door”.
I’m talking about the need to use them when the start the confiscations, on your terms. Because yes, waiting until you are alone and surrounde is a bad idea.

Nobody’s going to use them.
Because the first one to use them will be the catalyst that starts it all.
I’m betting government will win in the end. They control everything.
No, they may try to take them, but I will not turn them over !!
The way I see it is, if we lose our 2nd Amendment rights we will lose our 1st Amendment freedom of speech, our right to Vote and all we value in life.
If we lose all of our freedoms without a fight, then I must ask; why did we keep and bear arms in the first place?
