Jimmy Fallon proved Tuesday he wasn't a one-night wonder.
The new "Tonight Show" host oops, star drew 7.4 million viewers for his second night, more than the combined total for his rivals, David Letterman on CBS and Jimmy Kimmel on ABC.
Fallon still had, and will have all this week, the benefit of a lead-in from NBC's popular Olympics coverage.

i’ll be getting more sleep, I think the creep is repulsive!
dang it... Justin Timberlake is also a guest on Friday night... what to do?!!!
“dang it... Justin Timberlake is also a guest on Friday night... what to do?!!!”
Turn the TV off when the Mooch comes on, and then turn it back on when she’s gone. Then settle in and watch Justin Timberlake. Problem solved.
I need help; I don’t watch late night shows and thought Kimmel and Fallon were the same until now. I never heard both of them mentioned in a story before. So, could someone tell me which is which?
1) Which one did the Capital One commercials?
2) Which one likes to kiss Johnny Depp on the mouth?
3) Which one refers to El-Presidente as “The Prezie of the United Steezy”? Sorry if I spelled a couple of those wrong since they aren’t really words.
This is not a joke post, I really don’t know. I would like to know if I should wish the new host (Fallon?) luck in this new position or root for his fall.
that is what i would have to do... there is no way i could watch Michelle... i cannot stand to look at her, nor listen to her...
“Excellent point. Johnny’s skits were one of the most fondly remembered elements of his show.”
Jay Leno himself said that he thought Fallon was the most like Johnny Carson in style. Including the fact that Fallon does skits, just like Carson did them. Leno thinks Fallon is extremely talented.

Jack Benny was the best, Carson’s idol.

But they didn’t give the punch line ......
Carson had the greatest deadpan. Used to love to watch him with the animals.
Recently have read that he was a big drinker and would get mean, also that he was a solitary person off air.
I really like Leno - funny and in real life a good guy I think. I Loved weddings and headlines. One of the funniest weddings was Peters - Stuckinsider.

Thanks SeekAndFind.
he suffers from narcolepsy,... (ref. to Kimmel)

A fellow Manager used to fall asleep from that during our staff meetings with the VP and often in his office. He had a simple surgical procedure and it did away with the narcolepsy.
Back to topic...
I watched Fallon the first 3 nights, to see what the media was raving about. ...No rave from me, as it seems the material is aimed at the under-35 crowd who knows who some of his guests are; while most people across America have never heard of them.
Will Smith, Lady Gaga (great voice and mean piano player) and Tim McGraw were good. Seinfeld sucked (proud to say I never watched even one episode of his TV series!).
Fallon’s monologue is very lame, compared to Leno’s. The audience must be surround by signs telling them when to applause and yell and scream, as it’s not done when appropriate. The third show, I kept going to the Golf Channel to watch the PGA match play tournament, as Fallon’s show was so boring and obviously targeted at only the liberal Northeast and West Coast.
i have never been a fan of Jay Leno... i do not dislike him, i just never cared for his humor... i am more of a Conan O'Brien fan... i do like Jimmy Fallon, and have ever since his time on SNL... i think he is talented... i like his impersonations... i especially like when he played Mick Jagger's reflection in a mirror... and he has a decent singing voice--i like his musical parodies... i enjoy when he partners with Justin Timberlake...
i was not a regular Seinfeld viewer... i saw it from time to time, mainly repeats... the ones i have seen i have found to be funny... however, outside of the television show, i have not found Jerry Seinfeld to be funny... i guess he is... but i think the show's success had to do with the chemistry of the entire cast... my two favorite characters from the show were secondary characters: Elaine's on-again and off-again boyfriend, "Puddy," played by Patrick Warburton and Elaine's boss, "Mr. Peterman," played by John O'Hurley...
i have not watched The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon yet, but i will watch Friday's episode--only because Justin Timberlake will be a guest... i really do not have time to watch it on a regular basis... i usually tune in if and when there is a certain guest i want to see...
anyway, time will tell if Jimmy Fallon fits the bill... of course there will never be another Johnny, Ed and Doc... :)
