PHOENIX, Residents of a Phoenix neighborhood said a pack of Chihuahuas have been wandering the streets for the past year and harassing residents.
Ray Rios of the Maryvale neighborhood said he has often seen the dogs wandering the area and chasing after children, KSAZ-TV, Phoenix, reported Tuesday.
"Yeah a lot of them, they are out here chasing kids or going yard to yard... anywhere in groups of eight to 12 just running around," Rios said.
Frank Garcia said the Chihuahuas seem to have friends.
"Well the last time I seen six or seven Chihuahuas ... and big dogs running with the Chihuahua's in a pack running every single day," he said.
Maricopa County Animal Control spokeswoman Melissa Gable said Maryvale received 6,000 calls for service last year, twice as many as in nearby Glendale.
"Obviously you have the deal with feces and is unsanitary and all these strays everyone is at risk for dog bites," Gable said. PHOENIX, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Residents of a Phoenix neighborhood said a pack of Chihuahuas have been wandering the streets for the past year and harassing residents.

Awwww, RIP Amos!
I always remember the story where a woman’s chihuahua saved her from a mugging by leaping from her arms and latching on to the mugger’s throat - good doggie! I guess they can do some damage if they are so inclined.
or a foot???
Little dogs like that are likely to bite.
The Wussification of loser Emeritus “Wacko Birds” MaCain’s Phoenix continues unabated!
Now the World’s smallest dog holds Wussy Phoenix in its fearsome grip!
BTW, this graewoulf hasn’t had breakfast yet - - - .
Saiga .223 Sporter Rifle
More like a shotgun with those little varmints.
LOL!
Right. Big dogs running with Chihuahuas. More media BS. What you have here is a pack of big dogs and some Chihuahuas running with them. If it was really just a “pack” of Chihuahuas, just punting a couple of ‘em would solve the “pack” problem.
I’d probably use a shotgun, but the little devils would certainly sharpen my marksmanship skills if I used those.
Thomas Lockhart (West Coast Tattoo) catching wild Chihuahuas in Mexico.
I’ll say right off the bat that I can’t stand chihuahuas My best friend has one and that stupid thing pees all over her house. I told her he would be GONE!!!!
Well, what do you expect? They're Mexican, right?
LOL — please tell me that that is not how they catch them.
Not sure, but I think that it is illegal to shoot undocumented dogs.
yeah...they’re quick and harder to shoot than a bigger dog!
We have one and she’s a monster. 10 lbs of fighting fury. Nobody gets near the house without getting busted by Coco.
One night the pit bull next door got loose and was at our gate. Coco charged the gate and the pittbull layed down, rolled on its back and would not move until Coco finally realeased it by walking away. Hysterical! :-)
I love dogs in general but hate these yapping little rats!
