Saw Devo once - Freedom Of Choice tour - man were they LOUD ...but great . R.I.P. , Bob .
“cause of death was heart failure.”
I guess in the end they were just men.
I’m glad I talked the wife into seeing them at St. Augustine last year.
Thanks for all the music Bob.
Another report said “ Bob Casale, one of the original members of Devo, passed away Monday from “conditions that lead to heart failure” . Drug rumors floating around already .
They brightened up my high school years.
Original drummer Alan Myers died 8 months ago .
Glad the new drummer is from Tucson and talked the band into coming to town last year. Great show. And their most recent album is probably their best all around work. Something to be said for going out on a high note.
Yea ...BTW - I’m 61 .
Ahhhhh.....
Hard to believe. OK, well, maybe not. I will point out, though, that I'm 61 and just had a pacemaker put in my chest due to a condition that had nothing to do with the drugs I ingested in the 70's, which have had no affect brain on my that can I all at tell.
I see what you did there.
Wow - thanks for that . Never saw before .
I’m 61 , too .
RIP.
Leave it up to “Weird Al” Yankovic to out-Devo Devo, with a musical pastiche with so many elements of Devo that a lot of people thought it was done by Devo.

In an interview, Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh stated in reaction to the song that: “I was in shock. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard. He sort of re-sculpted that song into something else and, umm ... I hate him for it, basically.”
It is officially too late to whip it... whip it good.
RIP, Devo was wonderfully weird.
