(Reuters) - Actress Ellen Page, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in "Juno," came out as a lesbian on Friday at a Las Vegas conference for gay teens.
"I am tired of hiding and I am tired of lying by omission," the 26-year-old actress said in a speech that drew roaring support from an audience at the Time to Thrive conference sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign.

Why not do research before saying something so stupid. She did 5 tv/movies in 2013 and is in the new X-Men Movie for 2014. This is why we look dumb when we rattle off crap that is an outright lie.

She’s not a bad actress - I really liked her in “Hard Candy”.
Funny thing is, I went to IMDB and saw what she looked like. She is actually very beautiful. I am sorta surprised that she feels she can’t find a man. I would imagine many would stand in line to date her (and much more…lol).

My actual guess is she feels tainted by the supposed anti-abortion message of ‘Juno’ and wants to let everyone know shes not a closet right-winger.

I came out as a lesbian years ago. But the fact that I am male has lessened the impact of it somewhat.

She’s had a bunch of boyfriends, and also (ahem!) linked to Drew Barrymore, so it doesn’t seem like such a big revelation.

Who gives a crap....I see maybe three movies a year and this is not going to be one of them!!
It always amazes me when people run away from conservatism. Look at Patricia Heaton….a big time conservative who not only had one hit tv show, she is working on her next one already. You can be conservative in Hollywood and still be a success. It always stunned me when I see actors and actresses become liberal (especially if they grew up in the Mid-West) for no other reason then taxes. Why would you want to pay 60 percent of your movie profits to the federal government and then add state taxes which in California are not cheep. That part always was a mystery to me. Heck even if you make 20 million a film and end up with 7 million to me is a rip off.
I think it would have been real news if she’d ‘come out’ as ‘straight.’
