Looking into buying silver and needed advice (do's and don'ts). Was thinking of both 1oz and fractional coins (1/2, 1/4 and 1/10 an oz).
Where can I buy (recommendations) and how can I properly store them?
Was looking to spend under 1k.
A bit of silver is good for diversification. Land has its pluses too I buy lots that have mobiles on them and rent the mobiles. Plant your food and fruit trees now so they have time to grow. Sweet potatoes are a great ground cover wasteful instead of wasteful grass compost and mulch build fertility. Don’t forget ammo is large quantities. The other thing you should get in the way of coins is nickles these are order-able from your bank in $100 boxes not long ago each nickle had 7 cents worth of metal in it it is down now to 4.4 cents as metal prices are low.

Those all have counterparty risk. Precious metals do not. When the stock and bond markets crash and the fiat currency is worthless how will you pay the property taxes on real estate and farm land?
Have you got an ETA on the crash ?
Actually, it's before the cupro-nickel was sandwiched with copper. Half dollars from '65 to '69 excepted...they were "silver clad."
Seriesly? The recent hard times flushed a lot of them out of drawers. I got a Franklin a couple of years ago, and had a cashier tell me she got a couple of Walking Liberty halves. Been a few years since I found a silver quarter, but got a silver nickel from WW2 last year.
September, 2015.
bump for later
