If you have a code to not procreate, then how to you continue the code?
By forcing marriage onto the unwilling.
Arranged marriages were the historical norm until after the industrial revolution.
Any real geneticist or population biologist would agree.

you don’t you’re a genetic dead-end.
but since this isn’t hardcoded it means it’s your learned behavior is why you won’t be poducing babies.
Genetics are more complex than that. Someone can pass down a piece of a code that means certain death for generations and nobody will know until it someday merges (by sex) with another rare code that causes it to be expressed.
That’s why so many debilitating genetic diseases have not been “cleared” from the pool.
Also, few people are 100% gay. They may be internally more attracted to men than women but only date women because it is more socially acceptable.
Some very gay men even marry women and have children to avoid social stigma. They imagine they are with a man when having sex. It’s called “staying in the closet”.
Some genetic conditions are recessive in that you need two copies of the gene for it to be expressed. You also have spontaneous mutations which occur at conception, where both parents lacked the gene. You can also have a condition called a mosaic disorder where the defect occurs sometime during development and only some of your genes are effected.
Ding ding winner! it is NOT genetic or they wouldn't have to plant seeds, cultivate and harvest in public schools and the curriculum, or in HolyWeird.
There can be only one answer, if you accept that homosexuality is genetic, and that's that the homosexuality gene is a genetic defect.
It could be recessive.
Also, consider a primitive pre-patriarchal society. The male offspring would "leave his father and his mother", and go find a wife and live with her clan. His abilities would be lost to his blood relatives. A homosexual offspring, on the other hand, might be more willing to stay around and help raise his nieces and nephews, thus indirectly forwarding his genetic line.
