But this crap zoo insisted on killing this poor animal who had grown to trust them, had never known anything but a kind hand from them—so they could publicly dissect him for pseudoscientific reasons and then feed him to lions? This “zoo” should be closed for cruelty to animals.”

I too just can’t understand why they didn’t give the animal to another zoo. I had no idea that people raised nearly 700 grand to buy the giraffe. The zoo wasted $700,000 just to provide some meat to its lions? Bizarre.

Exactly, it’s not as if the Giraffe had no where else to go. It was a stupidly cruel thing to do. If this zoo wants meat to feed their lions, they should ask for donations.
