I think Coca-Cola is TERRIFIED of the very idea that Pepsi-Cola has expressed interest in offering pre-made Pepsi cola syrup to Sodastream users. Imagine Pepsi offering unsweetened syrup, end users adding whatever amount of real cane or beet sugar they wanted, and making homemade Pepsi cola....

With these things I am always afraid I’ll invest in the machine and it will go all Sony Beta on me and I won’t be able to get supplies.

It’s funny but this Christmas someone gave me a Keurig machine. Real popular items these days. Well, I drink instant coffee so the machine was useless to me since it only added extra time to each cup of coffee. I returned it.
They’re offering cold drink makers now.

I keep instant coffee in my survival supplies for the apocalypse, but I drink real coffee from fresh ground beans, for real life.

Been making my own seltzer for quite some time. Easy enough to add simple syrup and flavorings.
Do a web search and you can find all the hardware you’ll need, from coldplates to stainless valves and high pressure hoses, to make your own system for a very fair price.
Much less than a McCann carbonator and other required components.
Sodastream is really quite lame, and not cheap.
Not enough bubbles and goes flat right away.
Some basic plumbing hardware and a CO2 canister and your good to go.
As someone who enjoyed fountain “RC” cola from Bob’s Lunch & Fountain back in the day, I really groove on maximum bubbles.

It’s hard to believe there isn’t anybody growing coffee shrubs in America. Can it be that hard?

funny thing is, Soda Stream didn’t invent anything. The process of carbonating liquids with CO2 cartridges has been around since 1903.
SodaStream is the maker of a consumer home carbonation product based on the principles of making a carbonated drink as originally invented by Guy Gilbey in 1903.

They grow coffee in America (the continents), but there are few locations in the USA that are within the so-called
coffee belt, Hawaii being the only US state producing it commercially in viable quantities. Its not impossible to grow it in the contiguous 48 states, but the flavor may not be the same and it may be hard to get the plant to produce fruit. (The coffee cherry is edible too.)

Do you know if you mix Kahlúa with club soda, it tastes just like Coca-Cola? Only bettah.

Unsweetened syrup? How is that possible?

We need a rule for SodaStream threads. Yes, I know she's a liberal, but she's a hot liberal.

The US contains every microclimate that can be found on earth. And every mineral soil solution. It should be possible to grow coffee *somewhere* here.
