You need an intervention over this upcoming event. Let me advise you that no matter what you plan it will be criticized by somebody. Weddings are that way. Having planned weddings in several different states, customs vary; and people from out of town will criticize over the tiniest things. Just let it roll off your back.

What is so amazing to me is all of the connections these crooks have with the high and mighty of Milwaukee. One of the main perps, Universal Knowledge Allah, is friends with U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore’s son (Supreme Solar Allah) and has been photographed cutting the hair of former Congressman and current Mayor Tom Barrett! **roll eyes**
All of these details have been revealed on other threads about the mugging and the theft.
i’m prepared to take my lumps over the wedding. But this is a dispute between warring bridesmaids, some of them family and some of them friends, some of them local and some of them out of state. THEY are planning the shower and it was presumptuousness and high-handedness in the original email, which rather than asking for input, just stated what was going to happen and who had to pay up, that started the cascade of bad feeling. i would be totally in the dark about it, except my younger daughter is the maid of honor, and therefore on the email chain. The mother of the bride is supposed to just show up and be gracious at this affair. I will do that, but i have been privy to too much of the behind the scenes drama for my liking!

I had several bridal showers, but one of my most memorable was given by some of my college friends. It was a “No-host” affair in a restaurant and was a surprise to me. The guests kicked in for my meal, but everybody just ordered what they wanted off the menu and paid with separate checks. They all brought presents, and I remember it 55 years later with happy feelings. No hassle to anybody. It was a fun evening; and it was the last time I sawsome of those women, since I moved halfway across the country after the wedding.
That word sounds like some kind or metal you’d use on a shed roof-coruscated...

It is 32 and gloomy-when I was out with the dog early this AM there was this weird for-like light frozen mist-and some of that is still on the ground making everything slick with a fine film of ice...

She has her driver training road test on the same day and both events are too anxiety-provoking for her by themselves. I do love the tune. If only my left hand could play a proper B minor. The spouse gave up on showing me a cheat for it because my hand could not do it and now he just says play whatever you want there. D7, always sounds good. :)

I’m just about to get a 15” platter in my mother’s Spode in the next 1/2 hour. In the last week, I’ve managed to secure an 11” and a 1” platter; a 9” and a 10” oval vegetable bowls; a 10” square vegetable bowl; a spendid gravy boat; 4 double handled cream soups and stands, and 4 sauce dishes. I have my eye on a 17” platter and a coffee pot next week.
All of these pieces have been at amazing prices, compared to Replacements, LTD (my previous source for discontinued tableware.)
That should have said an 11” and a 13” platter. So, if I get the 15” and the 17” next week, I’ll have a set of 4 graduated platters.
My Mother’s wedding dress was also sweetheart length..is that what they call it?
