I am an engineer and a creationist. Nothing I do depends on evolutionary theory. Everything I do depends on observable science. Nothing I do is left to chance. Everything I do is deliberate and for a purpose.
It is absurd to believe that the circuits I’ve designed, or the programs I write, could be improved by coding errors, copying errors, or random noise injected by mindless agents, like electrical outages and alpha particle bombardment.
If there is no intelligence in nature, then how did intelligence “evolve”? The only answer that Mr. Nye seemed to have for challenges like these is, “That is a great mystery.”
Indeed.
Your electrical circuits and coding are far more restrictive in terms of the applicable rules and outcomes than chemical combinations of atoms and molecules.
What would you define intelligence to be?
See post #11 for a link to an article that I thought had a very interesting take on the topic.
The formation of the Earth is not history per say, but a physical deployment.
History is about individuals, not things. But scienticists and historicists imply it.
Never understood why some people consider ‘I don’t know’ such an inadequate answer.
As Plato said, paraphrasing, “All we really know is the extent of our own ignorance”.
Why do we restrict it to Evolution to make things?
The answer lays when Adam and Eve bit the fruit.
They denied there was God who made them, it had to be something else, “more neutral”.
Bill Nye is following the same immaturity of atheistic Adam and Eve.
Ergo, if historically Bill Nye embraces that only him can do stem cell research and not God with Adam’s rib, that only man can make things out of his imagination unconstrained by the need to wait for Evolution to somehow do its thing, since Bill Nye is thinking exactly like Adam after biting the apple, the Bible is pretty darn hisrorically indicative of his own behavior.
+1 ...
OK, I'll bite. Whose version of creation is correct? The Jew's, Hindi, or Erich von Däniken's.
