moribund; adj.
1. in a dying state; near death. 2. on the verge of extinction or termination. 3. not progressing or advancing; stagnant: a moribund political party.
Etymology: 1721, "about to die," from Fr. moribund (16c.), from L. moribundus "dying," from mori "to die" (see mortal). Fig. sense of "near an end" is from 1837.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

i agree, i am so ready for winter to be over. my husband is from upstate NY. i told him i would go with him anywhere but there. and this winter has northern VA looking like upstate NY. cars covered in salt, roads and sidewalks gritty with salt, snow in the yard and frigid temps! not good!

Upstate NY is great for snowmobiling....that’s it!!!!!! And yes I hate salt....it’s all over....I wash my car all the time and it gets salty again...I’m going to build a snowman and run it over!!!!!
oh boy. are they out of snowdays yet? Fairfax Co. has to go on Presidents day now, if there are more they will have to start extending the school year.
my husband washed my car last weekend, and this weekend again, so it’s not too bad. But i hate the grit!
Washed and wiped it down Friday, it’s garaged but will be a mess tomorrow ):
