GED prep guides, nursing and other professional exam cliff notes were high on the list of frequently filched books but so too were graphic novels, library officials said.
Book thieves checked out but never returned 70,144 books from Brooklyn Public Librarys 60 cash-strapped branches in 2012, records show.

Those are always going missing, a librarian at the Brooklyn Heights branch told the Daily News Thursday.

LOL! That’s pretty true. I grew up in New York city and it’s unreal the illiteracy rate in that city. I remember one time I had a job where we had to take a safety class and the teacher went around the room asking each person to read a paragraph from the manual. Baaaaad mistake. Bad bad bad, I never seen so many embarrassed black men in my life. Just massive illiteracy, I mean barely able to read words with more than 4 or 5 letters and these were guys who were born and raised in Brooklyn. Pretty pathetic but that’s our Marxist run education system and how much the Marxist policies of the Democrap party has absolutely devastated the black family unit. There is not a chance in bloody hell I would ever allow my kid to be that illiterate, but it’s perfectly common in the democrap run black communities.
