Revelation 8:2
And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
Is Gabriel blowing that horn?
Get on board for Gloryland!
Or ground ice moving and making noise. The earth does make noise....

One time I mentioned Rush Limbaugh in an email to Linda Moulton Howe and she never replied to me ever again.
He has sounded forth the trumpet
That shall never call retreat
He is sifting out the hearts of men
Before His judgment-seat
Oh, be swift, my soul
To answer him be jubilant, my feet
Our God is marching on
Some of the Youtube videos were clear hoaxes. Others, not so sure.
That woman is a kook.
I listened to a couple. They sound like a giant elevated train going around a bend — or a slowed down tape of a regular sized elevated.
It could be some of them are industrial/infrastructure sounds, but I’d bet on hoaxes, or alien invaders.
Lewis and Clark reported hearing “Booms” like cannon fire in their journals while in the Rocky Mountains.
Ordinarily a douchebag, Kevin Smith’s movie “Red State” has a scene where this occurs and it is honestly pretty terrifying.
My parents were at my sisters awhile back and early in the morning heard a huge BOOM that work everyone up. Sister said it’s pretty common. I’ve heard them around here from time to time with no explanation.
Dinah finally got off her butt.

Funny you should mention this now. Just a couple of weeks ago, I heard a sound like some of these & after a minute or so, realized it was a motorcycle (the “crotch rocket” type) going flat out & quite a ways off. I guess that wouldn’t explain it in a really remote location, though. I wondered then what had ever happened with it.
Last account, I think it was supposedly a water phone & there was something about a movie trailer.
Prairielady, I just googled & maybe it’s an “alpenhorn” or a labrophone you’re referring to?
No idea what this is & never hope to find out! What is up with those people who go outside & walk around, trying to see where it’s coming from? Waaay too creepy.
Didn’t this happen in the Patton movie?

In August of 2011, I heard a loud noise in the sky, it went on for about 20 minutes, it wasn’t trumpets or horns at all, but rather like scraping or crunching metallic sounds with rushing wind, which I had to presume was loud construction nearby, but I couldn’t locate it, I drove around a block or two looking for it,
It was somewhat disturbing, so much so, that I went online later that day to see if anyone else had reported anything similar, which oddly is not something I would have done just for a loud noise, there was something else about this that bothered me, it felt very unnatural and out of place
I was completely unaware that anyone else had reported similar stories in the weeks/months prior,
Since that time, there have been several reports near me (in the news and by neighbors) of loud unexplained booms, but nothing like what I heard was ever described,
I didn’t bother with many youtube videos, as I’m sure many are fake, but I do know what i head,
I’ve not heard anything similar since that afternoon, and I actually recounted the story in detail sometime soon after it occurred on a thread here on FreeRepublic, I don’t recall thread name without doing a search for it,
Maybe what bothered me, is that I’ve studied prophecy for many many years and was until that day just barely conscious of the number of scripture referencing loud noises,
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills. Zephaniah 1:10
“Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire. Isaiah 29:6
The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad. The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook. Psalm 77:17-18
For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts. Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord. Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. Jeremiah 25:29-32
And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: Revelation 14:2
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: Ezekiel 43:2
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, . 2 Peter 3:10
And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings. Ezekiel 1:24
Well, I see that some booms have been reported in KY but hours west of us.
It’s strange, but we get them here in central KY periodically, have for years. No one really knows for sure, there are various opinions. Ft Knox is some 40 odd miles from here, so we just assume there is something going on at the base. However, I grew up near or on a number of military bases and the only booms we got were the sonic booms from aircraft. Don’t get those anymore. And these booms aren’t really like that anyway.
Not high on my list of mysteries to solve. Interesting to know what they are, but too lazy to try and find out.
Well, they don’t sound at all like angelic playing. Just sounds, discordant ones.
I thought Rip Van Winkle explained the strange booming sounds. It’s just Henry Hudson’s crew playing at 9-pins. Play the bowling game with them but don’t drink their strange brew!
