I sent an email to the editor of my hometown paper, about an online story that stated:
“The team has asked its thousands of fans to attend the City Council meeting next Tuesday and where their colors...”
No reply after two days, and the story has not been corrected. My journalism professor is spinning in her grave, at present :(

Do the editors and proofreaders even know the English language these days? The danger of SpellCheck. "Then" is spelled correctly, it's just not the correct word to use in that sentence.
