Every now and again, the busy world stops for a split second, just long enough for some 'simple pleasure' to overwhelm everything and command 100% of your attention. My 'simple pleasure' for the day: picking up a freshly laid egg and holding it, still warm, in my hand. ~Q~

Sweet nostalgia. I miss my chickens. Rat Bastid raccoons tore a hole in the poultry netting on their coop, and killed them. The raccoons also wiped out my goldfish pond. Some of my fish were eight years old. I hate raccoons and possums.

That’s so fantastic. I used to enjoy collecting eggs when I was a girl visiting my granny’s farm. I was always kinda scared that I might accidentally grab a snake, though.

I would kinda like to have some chickens, but in weather like this, I am glad that I don’t have to get out and take care of livestock.
