Democratic fundraiser/actor Ben Affleck and the next big-screen Batman recently gave an interview to Playboy. His own bias against Republicans, he admits, prevents him from fully enjoying a Republican actors performance. Its hard, said Affleck, to get people to suspend disbelief.
Affleck said: When I watch a guy I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldnt like this person if I met him, or we would have different opinions. That (bleep) fogs the mind when you should be paying attention and be swept into the illusion.

What would Ben suggest for conservative actors confronted with movies featuring bit time liberals?
There are likely many actors whose political affiliation Affleck doesn’t know. So, for his convenience, pass a law requiring those he deems to be “big time Republicans” to prominently wear a patch on their outer garment so he knows which movies to watch and which to avoid.
Purely for his personal convenience, since we know from history that nothing more sinister would come of the idea.
When did they first appear in the comics?
The black god? At least since the early 80’s. I was never much of a Thor girl, but I seem to recall in the Marvel universe “whose who” that came out then, that he was black. I really do commend the casting for the Avengers. For the most part, the characters look identical. I would have preferred Jared Padalecki as Cap, but it worked.
That’s not Thor, that’s Beta Ray Bill...and the fact that I know that is kinda sad.
Okay, I surrender. But I still don’t think that Little Orphan Annie was black. Maybe I missed some of those strips as well.
