Great idea.

I’ve signed up with Twitter, but I’m not at all sure how it works.

I can get “Tweets” from channels that I subscribe too, but if I reply, who sees my tweets ?

A quick tutorial might be helpful.

Everyone who follows the hashtag #StateOfTheCoup and #SOTU will see your re-tweets.

I wish I could write a quick tutorial effectively, I've only been on Twitter a few days myself and am still "figuring it out."

as best I know, you should see a "Re-Tweet" option for each "tweet" you see on the page. Click that.

Can anyone else chime in and help here?
