For the “Los Angeles Times,” it is remarkably honest and balanced.
In the second and third paragraph they explicitly point out that Black and Hispanic teenagers are many, many times more likely to be shot than white kids are.
I would never expect to see that fact published in a Hard Left newspaper.
One thing did catch my attention.....
As many of you know, FBI race statistics on gun murderers combine whites and Hispanics into one group.
Thus, when a Hispanic gangbanger kills a Black gangbanger, that is reported as a white killing a Black.
The FBI has stated several reasons for combining white and Hispanics, and chief among them is that numerous studies have shown that whites and Hispanics commit murders at the same rate.
I have actually Googled a half dozen of these studies, and read them, and they do seem to confirm nearly identical rates.
However, this report states that Hispanic teenagers are THREE times more likely to be gunshot victims than white teenagers.
That tells me that Hispanic teenagers also pull the trigger more than white teenagers do.

In the study, “children” include everyone under 20!
Didn’t bother reading it but I’ll guess if you dig into their methods - if they have the courage to report them - you’ll find something interesting. In order to get the “children” numbers up almost all of these kinds of “research reports” include so called children up to and including 24 year olds. That way they can get the gang banger deaths and injuries. Without them, I think buckets and backyard pools are more dangerous for kids.
The phrase “every single day” is redundant. Sloppy editing.
The comments following the article at the L.A. Times link read just like the comments here (except for the odd libtard thrown in for comedy relief).
