The music giants joined forces to promote marriage equality as both gay and straight couples were married at the same time.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Same Love" anthem became the theme song for 33 newlyweds during the 56th Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
The gay and straight weddings were officiated by Queen Latifah while the hit song about equality was performed by the rap duo with Madonna hitting the stage with them, along with Mary Lambert and jazz artist Trombone Shorty.

"This song is not a love song for some of us but for all of us," said Latifah as she introduced the special segment.
The mass of couples exchanged rings at the same time as the singer pronounced them wed while Madonna emerged to sing her classic "Open Your Heart."

Funny how this Obama fellow said he was all against this stuff ad now it is getting shoved in our face.
Barack Obama is such a charlatan.
If he is waving his right hand in your face you had better watch the left hand, because it is reaching for your wallet, our in this case your soul.
I read in a news article that the Muzzies threatened to blow away Madonna if she did a concert in Israel. She bulked to the threat only because by that time she had Lordes and Rocco.

I normally wouldn’t have watched, but I saw it last night; was watching with my son, a huge Daft Punk fan. It provided a teachable moment for us both. I was at first disgusted and upset by the open mocking of Christianity with the lyrics and imagery, but as he and I talked, I came to the realization that we were looking at a huge number of potentially lost souls. Suddenly, the sin took a back seat and the reality of the danger that exists for these people’s souls became paramount. I don’t like their beahvior or mocking, and fortunately, neither did he, but we should all be praying for them. (and ourselves, that we can keep the faith.) I am glad for the personal revelation, but really sad to think that this is the world my son is inheriting.
Christian pop is usually only known and promoted in Christian circles. Harder-edged Christian rock (i.e. P.O.D., Skillet, Demon Hunter, etc.) has lots of following and appreciation among secular fans as well as Christian fans. Some of those bands are really good musically. I personally find Christian pop to be too feminized, with little appeal to male audiences; you know, the so-called “Jesus is my boyfriend” music. I would rather just listen to Air Supply than most of that stuff.
I don’t listen to much Christian music, but I think Ashley Cleveland can belt it out pretty well, and I think Miriam Webster has a real bluesy voice. A few years ago I bought a couple of Hillsong albums and thought they were pretty good - kind of a wall-of-sound, cast of thousands approach. At that time, Miriam Webster was with Hillsong. I think Darlene Zszech (sp?) of Hillsong was very good
Spinning and name calling, eh? Quite the Alinskyite!
