The music giants joined forces to promote marriage equality as both gay and straight couples were married at the same time.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Same Love" anthem became the theme song for 33 newlyweds during the 56th Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
The gay and straight weddings were officiated by Queen Latifah while the hit song about equality was performed by the rap duo with Madonna hitting the stage with them, along with Mary Lambert and jazz artist Trombone Shorty.

"This song is not a love song for some of us but for all of us," said Latifah as she introduced the special segment.
The mass of couples exchanged rings at the same time as the singer pronounced them wed while Madonna emerged to sing her classic "Open Your Heart."

Ugh, lib relatives
I regret not seeing Alice presenting an award but other than that....meh.
It’s over - you are correct . All down down downhill from here .
why ?
I enjoyed the grammys. McCartney together with Ringo, daft punk with a great Chinese piano player and Stevie wonder -— and my huge crush, pharrell in his royal Mountie hat -— a whole bunch of country greats together, Taylor swift very emotional on the piano, and Metallica! Great show! Didn’t like the gay marriage bit but at least most of the couples were man woman.
There was some good music going on.
Oh, and the handsome pharrell, did I mention him? Lol

Is “Mary” Adam Lambert’s new name?
“Should we seize power at some point in Americas future, we can redo the ceremony except with firing squads.”
...Or we could NOT murder gay people. Maybe instead of the firing squad we can preach the word of God, offer people salvation, love our neighbor... You know, what Christ would do.
Its a result of Christians abandoning the culture. We need more Christian music, movies, literature. This false worldview is winning because there is no alternative.
“Disgusting. I think after a day of that Im just taking him to the gym to shoot some hoops. Screw it.”
Or you could not bother to watch it at all and go straight to shooting hoops. Why give the media the views?
CMA should do the same... with a mass heterosexual marriage.
Nope most Christians have not given up. Hope doesn't come from this world but rather through Christ. The Bible warns us we will be hated and we are the minority.
We need more Christian music, movies, literature. This false worldview is winning because there is no alternative.
It's out there more than ever before if you simply look for it. Thanks in large part to a legally blind preacher and his wife plus Bill Gaither's efforts Southern Gospel took off and can be found on TV. Many sermons are available 24/7 as well. Family TV shows or movies? Get Direct TV or Dishnet and it's there.
The Gospel has indeed been literally spread now to all nations. The Prophecies of communication, knowledge, and travel as foretold in Daniel have come to pass. It isn't the Christians abandoning the culture rather it's a majority of non believers rejecting Jesus Christ with prejudice. The few Christian sects that have abandoned GOD's Laws you have to ask were they ever Christian churches to start with? United Church of Christ harbors some of the most radical "get GOD out of our nations face and out of public venue" so called preachers. Again were they ever Christian to start with? Some maybe perhaps.
The moral collapse was started in the 1930's a quiet planned low key infiltration from Marxist Germany that Hitler kicked out. Columbia University invited them here. From them came the 1960's campus riots and college take overs. The phrase "Make love not war" was also their product. Added to that was Lyndon Johnson's Great Society where fathers were told go do your thing the government will raise your kids and btw moms more babies means more money.
From there TV began an abrupt change. Norman Lear I think was the name of the man had a liberal agenda and thus All in the Family and other shots aimed at Conservative Christian stereotyped Dad began.
It hit the music industry hard as well. Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll. Rock became so tainted it encouraged kids to seek out destruction. Some left the industry in disgust at the heights of their careers over that. Remember the group Kansas? A decent bad lyrics wise. The key song writer Kery Livgren left the band after becoming a Christian. With him he took the bass player who had a serious drug addiction problem. That bass player is now a Priest. Livgren stayed involved in music but not to a destructive degree. The group America had Dan Peak. He too left the industry. The ones who lead normal lives you don't hear about. You never heard about Alice Cooper after he straightened out. Some artist in Rock and in Country as well are trying to reverse the impact and get both their secular and Christian music out there. One of the most sucessfull is Ricky Skaggs.
Don't get me wrong there is still good secular Rock out there but parents need to read the darn lyrics before allowing it in their home. Review TV as well. The Occult and the fascination with it is now all out in the open and being glorified. In my childhood Devil Worshiping was not heard of as such. It was considered kookery. My first encounter with one such person came in the Navy in the late 1970's. It's a shame too as much talent as AC/DC had they wasted it on garbage like Highway to Hell.
The Master is allowing the wheat and the chaff to grow together in the same field to harvest time when separation shall come.
This is why I don’t watch these circle jerk award shows, and also why I haven’t set foot in a movie theater in about 20 years.
Rather, half the country.
I do not watch these award shows either.
There is also the “Dove Awards” for Christian music.
Preach the good news of the Gospel more than ever!
