Thanks! I think the first tiebreaker is regulation wins, so the Devils have to win a spot outright because they're such a miserable shootout team.

The irony is that New Jersey is poorly constructed to play in the regular season, but if they get into the playoffs they are the kind of team that nobody will want to face. They don't have much top-end talent, but their roster is so deep that they've got 2-3 defensemen and 3-4 forwards who are healthy scratches or playing in the minors but would probably be playing regularly on most other NHL teams.
