The NFL is considering moving the game to Monday or Tuesday in case of bad weather.
Well slather me in butter and call me a biscuit. Didn't they KNOW the possibility of bad winter weather would increase during WINTER?
Personally, they need to play the game in whatever Mother Nature throws at it. They wanted this up there, they got it. Now deal with it.
Your opinion may differ.
And they thought the one at Jerry World was bad (weather-wise)?
Hockey...hmmmm...Hockey....
Isn’t that Australian rules football on skates?
No, it’s Field Hockey on skates.
I ditto your comments, but I do think it was a bad decision to put on the premier event of a sport where most attendees biggest memories are not of the game but the elements and misery of attending.
It’s a Dam Site better game than Bassetball
But I’d be willing to bet a lot more people will tune in across the country than otherwise would have, just to see them play in those conditions.
Oh.
I consider hockey just a bunch of big guys skating into each other, and fighting, chasing something no one can see which is called a “puck”..
:)
I always watch the “bad weather” game on sunday when given a choice.
I personally don’t give a d@mn about the Superbowl or any other sporting event. Bread and circuses to distract the dimwitted masses from seeing what is being done to us by the elites.
Either schedule the Stupid Bowl for a domed stadium, or don’t bitch about the weather if it turns out to be bad.
How’s that for common sense?
I agree. There are many more important things going on. But I’d go insane (many who know me think I’m already there) if I didn’t have distractions, at least for a little while.
Yeah, they did have to do SOMETHING about those sagging ratings. This is an event that normally brings in greater ratings than anything other than a first moon landing.
Problems with the weather? Call the Russians or the Chinese. They can fix it...
Or Rove. The left seems to think his weather machine works wonders.
I think it would be cool if we had big-time hockey in the SEC.
No thanks to Title IX, it will never happen, though.
Hockey in the southern states, who worship at the altar of Football, would never fly.
Agreed. Thus my use of the qualifier “inclement” preceding “weather” rather than “life-threatening.” ;)
I’m a few miles from Giants Stadium and we’ve had a couple polar vortexes(aka cold fronts) this winter (wow that’s never happened before).
I thought the weather was the main reason it is not played here, so the super bowl fans don’t have to experience the cold.
Posts like that never cease to amuse d:^)
I remember when the Rams would put together a great season in Los Angeles, then I would see them in a playoff game on TV, in some place like Minnesota. They’d be looking around the field asking, “What’s all this cold white stuff falling out of the sky?”
