I love Super Bowl hype. I love watching them try to juice two weeks worth of coverage out of 1 game, every pimple is a catastrophe, every sentence a call to war. It’s great watching the media choke itself.

I don’t even watch that stuff anymore, I usually wait until the middle of the first quarter before even tuning in.

Depending on the weather I’m either on the NFL network the minute I get up or the minute I get off the bike trail, when they get boring I’ll switch to ESPN or whoever has the game, lather rinse repeat. I wallow in the hype, it’s half the fun.

What can you say? It was a great play. Not only a display of world class athleticism, but a masterful display of presence of mind and focus.

Some of the local Seattle guys were wondering if Sherman did his rant to take the media pressure on himself and off the other guys. I don’t think so. BUT, he will thrive on it regardless.
