It may have to do with protecting assets. The Captain has Parkinson’s. He’ll qualify for a lot more assistance if all their assets are in her name completely unattached to him. Otherwise, they’ll bled dry and there’ll be nothing left for her assuming she outlives him by 10 to 15 years.

I love how the Marxist propaganda machine posing as our impartial media is burying the REAL reason they are getting divorced which is the stop the Marxists from stealing their money under Obamacommiecare. This is quite common now, in an effort to break the American family the Marxists are punishing married couples through Obamacommiecare and some people have no choice but to get divorced or face financial ruin. Her husband is sick with Parkinsons so you can imagine the medical costs especially the Marxist mandated deductibles. I mean please: They been married 40 years, they are in their 70s and NOW they are getting divorced? Yeah OK.

If this was her decision I hope it's not one of those “I'm not growing” deals.Doing it for financial reasons might make sense...particularly if one of the pair has a potentially chronic,debilitating medical condition.
