Last September, I wrote about rocker Neil Youngs bizarre, factually challenged and slanderous criticisms of Canadas oil sands.
For instance, Young compared resource town Fort McMurray to Hiroshima. This is kind of unfair to Fort McMurray, which, while verdant and pleasant, has nowhere near as many skyscrapers and neon signs as that Japanese city.
Young made those and other foolish remarks while traveling across Canada in his $1-million Volt/Lincoln Continental hybrid.

Yeah, I was surprised to read that too. But I’m not too familiar with who’s who in the band. I’m pretty sure that some of them at least are republicans. I know they’ve performed at shows with Sean Hannity, I think in support of the troops.
There’s a possibility it’s a pandering response to being gun shy over the allegations racism due to the band’s past use of the confederate flag (as if the confederate flag means one hates blacks).
All of us...especially wretched “boomers” should grow up and move on to better, more intelligent and complex music,....classical, jazz, blues,...whatever...rock is infantile...and so are the bloated, self indulgent and insane poseurs...i despise them all.
I pay very little if any attention to todays rock music or “musicians”.
