It would be worth “giving up” the internet & even my cell phone. I miss peace of mind, security, & freedom so much.

I'm not sure I would want to go back to party lines for telephone service, which we had until 1960, when we got our first private line. On the other hand, voice mail didn't exist in the 1950's. I don't know which is worse--voice mail or party lines.

Oh gosh. I’d forgotten all about party lines. (lol :runs away screaming: ) Actually, I’ve never liked phones much. Because some people just love to talk too much. Cell phones are pretty convenient for something you need “on the way home” or car trouble, but I have one under protest. I refuse to learn to text, though. Of course, they’re indispensable for business.

I don’t know which is worse, either. I vote for neither.

I still wish I lived someplace that was frozen between the mid 1950s & 1970.
