My Ranger is a Katrina rescue. I suspect that in the storm's aftermath he did what he had to in order to survive...I've never been able to break him of his cat aggression...

I’ve got labs who hate cats. My dogs are backyard dogs and the cats have learned NOT to go there.
The cats are at fault since they taunt the dogs through the back sliding glass door.

I grew up with heelers, no problems with the cats. I adopted 2, they ate cats, literally.
I adopted a basset hound, hated shepherds. He could pick out a shepherd in his sleep, even if it was a cross breed. And would try to pick a fight. We always wondered what happened to him on the street; he definitely had some anger toward that breed.
