We interrupt this Slap Down LIVE Thread with a CNN Entertainment News Break...
Kent Brockmann reporting--
Hilarity rained supreme on The Monument Men Publicity tour... Linda van Schoonhoven reports.
Thanks, Ken. In today's Press Tour... Cate Blanchet offered insight to her role in The Monument Men--
Ms. Blanchet, what was your reaction... when you got the Rose Valland role?
When I took the role I thought I'd be working with Bendy... so imagine my disappointment when I found out I would only have scenes with Matt Damon--
Especially after Michael Douglas had worn him out... in that Liberace TV flick!
That the scoop here, Ken... Back to you--
Thanks, Linda. Love and lust wins out at last as Richard Sherman and Michael Crabtree... have called off their feud over their antics in last Sunday's game in Seattle.
Speaking of bad behavior, Justin Bieber attempted to egg another neighbors house but it backfired... The eggs were hard boiled and bounced back, giving 'The Bieber' a boo-boo.
J.J. Adams made a dramatic announcement... concerning the upcoming, highly anticipated Science Fiction re-boot--
There are only two actors I can consider for the top role in Star Wars: Episode VII... and they are both here with me today.
Director Steve McQueen is re-booting actor Steve McQueen's last dramatic role... it will be called Twelve Years Without Shaving.
And finally... in Downton Abbey news--
Lady Mary may have turned her back... on romance with Lord Gillingham--
Yet on the next episode, a new, thoroughly American suitor... comes calling.
This has been CNN Entertainment News Break and you may now go back to that Seattle/Denver Slap Down crap... Kent Brockmann reporting--

If Mannings uniform remains as clean as it did last weekend, then the Seahawks will lose. You have to make him nervous there boys, and force a few uncharted passes.
Manning needs to remember what fear feels like and resdiscover his “running game”.

"BTW - The players SHOULDER PADS contacted the ANKLE of the plant foot of the punter, after the punter brought his weight down to plant his spikes. So your description is also incorrect."
Belated reply - I just viewed the play about 16 times and will stick with my basic claim that the 5-yard call was correct.
The side view shows the Seahawk player leaping to block the kick, missing, and landing on the ground about 16 inches in front of the kicker, and not making contact with the kicker during that effort. The kicker had became airborne - both feet off the ground - before he made contact with the Seahawk, who was already on the ground. To repeat, the kicker's plant foot left the ground before contact with the Seahawk player. The kicker's momentum carried him slightly forward and - when his feet came back down to the ground - his (former) plant foot came down on the arm/hand of the Seahawk player. The contact was as much initiated by the kicker as by the Seahawk, and the contact was minor.
This situation is not what the 15-yard penalty is intended to penalize - blatant slamming into the planted foot while the kicker is in the process of kicking. In fact, technically it was not even "running into the kicker," because the Seahawk never did run into the kicker, the kicker's left foot landed on the prone Seahawk player when the kicker came back down.
