It takes a special kind of person to keep pace with the king of conservative talk radio, Rush Limbaugh. Long-time producer James Golden, aka Bo Snerdley, accepted the challenge over 25 years ago, and he hasnt had time to look back since.
The years flew by, Golden told BizPac Review in a candid interview. At the beginning I was real skinny and I had hair, he said.
Despite juggling the duties of producer, researcher and call screener, Golden made the high-stress job sound almost effortless as he described a day in Rushs world.
He and his boss have a similar work ethic and a knack for radio built on decades of experience, Golden revealed (see insight video below).
The golden rules: Work hard, keep up with the news and have patience with people.
The down-to-earth conservative charmed a South Florida crowd at Wednesdays Republican Business Network meeting, where he answered questions both political and personal in nature.

just like any good TV show or movie, the “cast” has to have chemistry. Bo and Rush have that

I was fortunate enough to attend the one in 2000.
Don't know if you heard of or were part of the short lived "Talkspot" live internet radio show years ago (Which was an absolute blast with live chat during the show). James Golden had a slot for an hour or so there. Talk about a man with talent! Hilarious doesn't cover it! Quick witted and as well informed as Rush for that matter (well of course! He's a FReeper! Or was then...).
Agreed
In the early days Rush had not one but four Snerdleys:
Bo Snerdly
Mario Snerdly
Mervin Snerdly
Chin-yang Snerdly
I started listening in 1990 when Rush was making fun of D.C. `homeless advocate’ Mitch Snyder, who was apparently driven to suicide by Limbaugh’s lampooning.
Miss the updates & the update themes (”Ain’t Got No Home”). Rush used to have more time for what he called “the lighthearted stuff”. Oh, well.
My favorite bit was always the Gorbasm, his Gorbachev update that he gave while The Imperial March from The Empire Strikes Back played in the background:

Get Stuffed. I’ve spoken with Goldie before. Jealous maybe?
