I'd be interested in everyone's opinions on the following:

How to Construct a Living Room Fallout Shelter

We have a small house that doesn't have a basement, only about a 2' crawl space. We also don't have any rooms that don't have windows. The outside walls are relatively thin stucco. (We do have a bazillion books inside our house that we could use for emergency insulation! ;o) We're far enough from our nearest big neighbor, San Francisco, that I think we would only get fallout, not blast. But I'm concerned about that fallout. What do you think of the advice at link about how to construct an above-ground inside-your-house shelter? Thanks!!

Makes sense to me. Might save lives. Could probably be constructed in half an hour.
