Or make walking illegal. In California, it could happen.

Let’s see, the cyclists are getting killed because they ignore traffic laws, the pedestrians are getting killed because they are engaging in distracted walking... yup, its all the vehicle drivers’ fault. That’s libtard logic at its best.

Wow. The school zone by my house has a posted limit of 25 (45 when not zone-time). I can’t see how people could possibly get around driving 15mph everywhere.

Most of the people hit by cars around here are college kids. They really should take some time during orientation to show kids how to cross the street. These idiots just step off the curb in front of cars.

Whites easily have the lowest rate of pedestrian deaths.
The CDC has the race, sex, and age, numbers.

How many cyclist and pedestrian deaths are there a year? I’m guessing far fewer than the obsessive concern of the author and his kind warrants.

Very thankful that we live in Central Florida and have access to many bicycle trails.
We absolutely refuse to ride our bikes on the roads! Seems like 2 or 3 times a month we see the twisted wreckage of a bicycle and an empty shoe on the news with an alert for a hit and run driver.
Fully understand that others do not have that option, but even if I did have only streets and roads for biking, I would obey the laws as if I were in a car and keep as far to the right as possible to allow cars to easily avoid me. As a bicyclist it irks me no end to see others riding two and three abreast and blocking traffic. If they could bike the speed limit, no problem, otherwise get to a trail or take up stamp collecting.
Still confounds me how there is always another car oncoming at precisely the same time as I have to pass someone on a bicycle.

Pedestrians and cyclists can wear the air bag jacket.
