It's an old question, and to some a first-date necessity: Are you a dog person or a cat person? In their respective roles as both work animals and pets (and sometimes even gods), dogs and cats have lived alongside humans for thousands of years. Meanwhile, the persistent dogs versus cats comparison has been running a parallel course.

Yet it produces a natural mennor.
To each his or her own.
Will be sending you along a private mail update of the cat that I training to have him live as an inside cat latter in the day. :)=^..^=
Looking forward to it.
Dogs RULE!
Cats DROOLE!
This is an ABSOLUTE LIE! I left my dads cat plenty of food and water and a clean litter box and left for 5 days.
The cat pissed and shit all over the couch to tell me off and I had to buy a new couch.
Can’t stand dogs because you are emotionally imbalanced and have no heart.
Thats why you love cats.
You said it so nicely, I don’t have to repeat it!
Fabulous pic!
Blessings to you my friend. I am glad Gods sends His little angels to lighten the load of our Military beloved.
The problem is you left the cat for 5 days, 2 1/2 days is the absolute max!
I had a cat that shit in my bathtub. I finally figured it wanted to live outside like when I found it.
20 years...that’s a good long life for a cat.
Your post showed me that feral cats are not as impossible to domesticate as I thought. Interesting.
Cats can protect...there was a book a few years ago about a lady and her tiny blind kitty who lived in NYC. Someone tried to burglarize her apartment and little Homer fought so hard one of his claws ripped off in the burglar’s face. Flat out embedded in the guy’s cheek...
Cats typically nip or give you a small scratch to let you know they don’t appreciate what you’re doing, or it happens in the struggle to get away in the case of something like pilling or defleaing a cat. Most don’t actually see a cat in defense mode rather than escape...they go for the throat and eyes, and I have very little doubt one could blind or kill. Paw full of claws to the neck vessels...
The cat should have shit in the tub, I would have been happy!!
A purring cat in my lap and a napping dog at my feet; relaxing.
Most of my cats just walked around my feet in the kitchen, looking up at me saying “feed me you fool”.
Tell that to all the kittens and cats I have sheltered from the outdoors; who I have fed and found good homes for...tell that to the cats who surgeries I have paid for...tell that to the rescue cats to whom I have opened my home. Yeshua knows where to send His little creatures for aid, comfort, and love.
Exactly...that cat had you pegged.
Dogs. They don’t infect their owners with brain-retarding diseases. (Yes, a majority of cats do. Look it up.)
Although I am a dog person by nature, I love all animals. I have a feral kitty that I have taken care of outside for nine years. She was never one to want to be petted...just a food thing (hey, I’m a realist, lol.)
I did all I could to convert her to an inside kitty during those 9 years to no avail. About 7 months ago, a couple of months prior to the “last of the pack” ancient pup’s death, she moved inside. I was, and still am, somewhat shocked.
Even more shocking, she has become very affectionate and I find her to be really smart. How in the heck does she know what “no” means? lol Never makes a mess or causes havoc.
She shows no interest in being outside...AT ALL. I guess things had to be her idea...not mine. I guess things could always revert back so I’ll just go with her flow.
I guess what I’m sayin’ is, it is possible for a feral to make the conversion. (even with a dog person)
