I have actually experienced UFO testimony under oath. A lady sued our client, claiming that her car was struck by debris from our client's property. Questioning went something like this:

What was it that hit your windshield?
I don't know.
Was it large or small?
I don't know.
What color was it?
I don't know.
Well, what was it?
I don't know - just an object.
Where was this object when you first saw it?
Flying through the air.
OK, so your car was hit by an unidentified flying object?
(no response).

We got summary judgment on that one, more importantly because her testimony placed her car about 200 yards from my client's property at the time it was hit. But the UFO argument figured heavily in the brief.

The Sheriff should rip it apart. Stand your ground is about life and death situations. It's not an excuse to shoot people who piss you off and it's certainly not an excuse to escalate a situation because you've got a gun in your pocket.
