I'm really old fashioned, so within a few inches of my hand I can only put my fingers on several bajillion devices based on -- and designed as a result of -- quantum mechanics. You know, pedestrian things that certainly didn't change the world like lasers, semiconductors. That type of non-world-changing stuff.
I thought you claimed to be a Double-E, but apparently in your EE curriculum you didn't learn about transistors, LED's, photocells... That's understandable -- they're REALLY NEW tech that Eugene Wigner and his students and later followers like Shottky did the physics for, oh, just eighty years ago. But your university will get around to teaching that stuff someday.
You learned EE at Rowan I'm guessing, right? [School Motto: YEARS OF FICTIONAL PHYSICS FOR THE MASSES, BUT NOT ONE COURSE IN QUANTUM MECHANICS FOR EE's.]
These devices aren't "demo'd" in fictional presentations, by the way. If you're in doubt about them head on over to Wal-Mart or RadioShack and have a look, or pick up a couple. Not as world-changing as LENR is [someday, real soon now] going to be. But kind of fun all the same.
Well let’s see. Being a Luddite, I don’t have a Mills Hydrino® Water Heater in my basement, like you do. Nor do I have the latest Rossi Technologies Mr. Fusion® in my DeLorean, as I am sure Kevmo does.
***Well, let’s see, being a pro-science rationalist, I don’t have a Controlled-Hot-Fusion water heater in my garage, but I’m sure you do.

***You make a good point here. I type faster than I can review material on the web. I concede your point about QM changing the world.
I thought you claimed to be a Double-E, but apparently in your EE curriculum you didn’t learn about transistors, LED’s, photocells...
***I did. But I never deal with QM on a daily basis, so I don’t care much about it which is why when I type too fast, I shorthand around it.
That’s understandable — they’re REALLY NEW tech that Eugene Wigner and his students and later followers like Shottky did the physics for, oh, just eighty years ago.
***Yup. But with your 40 years of “experience” in nuke bullshit, it would appear that you’re just a technician who assumes a whole lotta crap that never gets used in real life. Oh well, what do I care when it comes to a perpetual skeptopath.
But your university will get around to teaching that stuff someday.
***Yeah, that guy who has a Nobel Prize in EE at my university might get around to using QM equations in everyday engineering life, but in your fantasy technician approach to things, he wouldn’t be qualified to do so.
You learned EE at Rowan I’m guessing, right? [School Motto: YEARS OF FICTIONAL PHYSICS FOR THE MASSES, BUT NOT ONE COURSE IN QUANTUM MECHANICS FOR EE’s.]
***You got some beef with Rowan? I haven’t heard one way or another about their program. They’re fully accredited, and they know far more than you do.

These devices aren’t “demo’d” in fictional presentations, by the way.
***There you go again, with your use of freshman classical fallacies. Your arguments are “demo’d” in fictional presentations.
If you’re in doubt about them head on over to Wal-Mart or RadioShack and have a look, or pick up a couple.
***Non sequitur. Rowan University doesn’t have anything to do with Walmart.
Not as world-changing as LENR is [someday, real soon now] going to be. But kind of fun all the same.
***I thank you for your glimpse into your supposed 40 years of nuclear “experience”. You were just a technician. You didn’t take any applied elecromagnetism courses, you didn’t get a BS in EE or anything remotely related to these technologies. At best, your BS is in Poly Sci because all you’ve demonstrated is the ability to jump on a bandwagon and be an asshole when you can get away with it. Yup. PoliSci, not Engineering. But, at least you’re right this time. And lucky for us, that will continue the thread to be open. Maybe I should make mistakes more often so I can treat you assholes the same you’ve been treating me for 5 years.
Then you’re saying that the anti-LENR Luddites really are that stupid?
