a lot of pimping for Gina not Jenna
Clothes compliments of the Sonny and Cher collection.
And they continue to soft peddle CJ. "It's important to stay in tune ..."
Something different from him, finally. No sleepy angst-ridden coffee house crap.
Neon Trees' "Animal". Unfamiliar with this one too, but it's at least upbeat.
"I want something peppy, something happy, something up-tempo"
Ye olde commercial break ...
Keith: I wanted you to release a bit more, Alex. Didn't feel like you were dominating in that song. Looking forward to your second song.
[audience boos]
Jlo: I'll get booed too. Not because I didn't like it ... I expected so much. Felt like something was missing from you. Rock & Roll is about letting go (but you didn't).
Harry: You're really consistent. Sensitive, thoughtful performer. At this point, it's not safe to say you get a pass, but kinda do. Sounded like you couldn't get centered. This is the first time I've heard you sing an upbeat song. Now I know you can do it. Wasn't your best, but it's okay.
Meat Loaf jumps out with The Black Crowes "Sting Me". One of my favorites. Everything's going well, then something happens ... Can't tell what. Did he drop something. He's sliding around on the stage. Whatever it was, Meat Loaf makes it work.
Standing-O from Jlo and Randy (yeah, he's there).
Sustained cheers from the audience.
Jlo: Okay! Okay! That was some real Rock & Roll stuff right there. Crazy things happen on stage. Really delivered the song. You created a moment.
Harry: When you take a perfect song choice and you couple that with a perfect performance, it's virtually impossible to beat.
Keith: Your recovery of that was killer! You slid into the microphone. In spite of that crack in the performance, you just spackled over the performance.
Randy:That's Rock & Roll right there. He was so reckless and wild.
Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody To Love". Pretty good! Gets better as she goes.
Harry: You have this fantastic voice. You presented it in the strongest way. (says her stage presence has improved) You stood there and you delivered it.
Keith: I couldn't get out of my head Jim Carrey in "Cable Guy". I would like to still see more release. There's a disconnect between what's going on here and what's going on here (your eyes)
Jlo: (thinking about so much when you're on stage) You have to think about who your singing about. Your voice is so powerful, so beautiful, and you look so beautiful. We want your body to match everything that's coming out of your mouth.
