It's easy to con people about the weather when they spend most of their time indoors.

Turn the heat off from October through April, and I'll bet most of those people you describe will be burning Al Gore in effigy just to stay warm.

I doubt it.

They will turn the wearing of layers, including hats, arm and leg warmers, belly warmers and gloves indoors, into a hip political fashion statement. They will set up candle and flowerpot *heaters* for their toilets and huddle in one room.

They will set up barrel stoves with an uninsulated stovepipe exiting a flammable wall and burn deadfall. I am already seeing this exact behavior in the Upper Midwest rural hippie community.

It is illegal for utilities to turn heat off up here between October and April. There are people who default on their heating bills and live April to October with locked gas lines. If they have children, all they have to do is make a *good faith* effort to pay their arrears and the heat is turned back on. Our electric bills carry a monthly charge for paying the gas companies for these deadbeats.

When questioned about any failed policy of their chosen ideology, the answer is: “We have to do _something_!”

It is the rest of us who are being forced by the AGW crowd to live in the same exact manner
