over partner Francois Hollande's sex scandal with actress 20 years his junior'
France's First Lady Valerie Trierweiler was yesterday facing the prospect of becoming the first in history to be kicked out of the Elysee Palace.
It follows humiliating revelations that her partner, President Francois Hollande, has fallen in love with a woman almost 20 years his junior.
Mr Hollandes relationship with actress Julie Gayet, 41, was exposed by a series of pictures in French Closer magazine which show him travelling to see her on a moped.
But beyond a new romance, opponents claim the scandal exposes publicly funded deceit, security lapses, and the huge cost of a first lady who no longer has any legitimacy.
Mr Hollande, who turns 60 this year, was poised to make a statement to clarify the position of 48-year-old divorcee Miss Trierweiler.
She currently has five staff working for her at her office as well as numerous other taxpayer-funded perks, including homes across France, private jets and limousines.
As anger at the scandal grew, politicians suggested Miss Trierweilers position was already untenable.
Is it normal that she stays at the Elysee on taxpayers money while the President has other relationships, said MP Daniel Fasquelle. He added: So who is Frances first lady now?.....

The guy is a socialist, so trading in his older model for a younger/hotter/tighter one will be judged no big deal.
Eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww; that’s one I missed. Thankfully.

You’re right. That’s what my commie uncle and British labor union boss did. Then he retired with four years of accumulated time and left on a world tour on his yacht.
Great guy.
Also sent his kids to a Polish Young Pioneers camp for their summer vacation, back in the seventies.
My Polish dad literally never set foot in the same room with him. I think he would have killed him.
It sounds like they are more outraged by the first lady’s financial costs to France rather than Hollande’s trist with a younger woman.
Has anyone seen his marriage license???
They are beautiful women —
It must be all those palaces they get to stay in.
Odds high Hollande was refusing to play ball on some matter — maybe Iran — and the NSA leaked the info to that tabloid.
Apparently when the President cheats, the first lady has to be replaced with the harlot he is cheating with.
What a bunch of freakazoids
Ooo, la, la.....

The president has record low poll numbers, somewhere around 8%. This might bring him down, but it was his economic policies that did it. This might be the convenient last straw.
Their president rides a Moped? Ours pedals a schwinn, wears a helmet and is surrounded by secret service guys.......I've just gained some respect for mopeds.
It HAS to be his money and position.
At first I thought it was Ed Wynn come back to life.

IIRC, some years ago, there was a pretty big scandal when some French PM ( Can’t recall the name) died..and both his wife and his mistress attended the state funeral..
Lady? That's using the term loosely.
She’s 12 years younger than he is, and she’s upset he’s nailing someone 20 years younger? Meh. After all the lectures I got from Frog morons back when BJ Clinton was in trouble for committing Perjury about the BJs from the pudgy little girl (”You Americans are such PRUDES!”), I care not one wit if there is some kind of outrage there.
In fact, I hope it blows up into a Christie-sized scandal. I hope it dominates their news for months. I hope there is much weeping and rending of clothes. I’ll even send them some sack cloth if it will help the cause, because that’s how I roll.
Nice tramp-stamp. Is that a worm?

How long will it take for some French pundit to suggest that there should be or could be a First Lady of France, and a Second Lady, and a Third Lady if the occasion arises ....
after all this is France.
What?? Now I wanna see the pics.
