The guy is a lifer in jail.By using the prison’s law library he is probably doing it himself since he has nothing else to do with his time.
Some of these guys just sit around all day and think up stupid lawsuits to file, for self entertainment purposes.
According to the article, the pimp is representing himself (i.e. no lawyer). The article also says: "Clardy's suit will be served to Nike's Beaverton headquarters early next week for a response."
That means a judge won't even see it until Nike has filed its response, which will undoubtedly be a motion to dismiss. I think it's very unlikely that the lawsuit will survive that motion for dismissal.
