Western Union Co. (NYSE: WU) declined for the second day in a row on Friday. The fall may be related to concerns about possible competition from Bitcoin, a topic that was discussed in StreetInsider.com's Pulse Picks Newsletter Wednesday and later touched on by analyst Mark Palmer of BTIG. Palmer commented on Bitcoin-related worry on Thursday, just a day after initiating Western Union at Buy.

Mark Palmer of BTIG is looking so far down his nose at Bitcoin he is actually talking out his A$$!
Hey Mark,If you have vacation plans my I suggest some nice comfy seats on the Tianic!
The beginning of the beginning of the end is here for business models like Western Union.
Thats “ Titanic “ Doh!
He doesn’t care for Bitcoin and I don’t care what he thinks.
Even without BC, you couldn’t find a worse or more risky service than WU. I would say that Paypal has been a much greater threat to WU than Bitcoin.
My wife recently tried to send some money by WU after years of not using it. The transaction was declined and she was finally able to get an explanation. Either she, the receiver, or someone with the same or similar name as one of them had committed fraud with WU in the past. Thanks a bunch, WU. We found a better way.
Bitcoin could bring about a New World Order that totally turns upside-down the one envisioned by the global elites.
Western Union has been dying slowly ever since Paypal got rolling.
WalMart has a money transfer service where the recipient can pick up the money at any WalMart store.
That’s good to know, but this was going overseas.
Bitcoin is a terminal threat to the Mastercard/Visa skim, too.
It’s easy to get the skim back (and more) with rebates or points.
WalMart partners with MoneyGram, which also does overseas transfers.
Yes, but with WU, you could claim to be anybody and send MO to certain entities. I even claimed my bud was stranded in Spain, gave fake addresses etc, and the clerk just took it line and sinker. But that was $50 to pay for a vPN.
Then again I hate WU, they keep a copy of your ID for anything past a certain amount using MO.
Not for the merchant.
Look what the banksters did to Walmart when they tried to cut out the Mastercard/Visa skim.
Wal-Mart Defends Its Bid to Enter Banking
There is no reason in the world that Mastercard/Visa should make more profit on a Walmart transaction than Walmart does, other than the greed of the big-government/big-corporate criminal fascist complex.
Thats okay,we’re in Bitcoins infancy. This video explains things perfectly. It is not uncommon but we never see the volatility in tech startups before the IPO. Since Bitcoin will never have an IPO it is there for all to see. These are ant hills in the run up to Bitcoin Mount Everest!

Bitcoin @ $1,000,00 is a bargain!
Quit posting bitcoin articles in the news forum.
Sorry FRiend,
If the decline of a major company like Western Union isn’t news what would you consider it? I will post Bitcoin in whatever category you deem appropriate. Just tell me where and I will happily post them in the category of your choosing.
Thanks,
Tom Vaughan
I am using Western Union to send money to get millions of dollars out of Nigeria. Some poor banker died in a plane crash and I’m the only person on earth that can be trusted for this transaction. Honest.
Sir/ Madame,
You have publicly admonished me. I have asked for guidance so I don’t run afoul of the rules. Kindly respond.
Tom Vaughan
