RE: WTH is Emma Thompson anyway?
From Wikipedia:
Emma Thompson (born 15 April 1959) is a British actress, comedian, screenwriter and author.
She first came to prominence in 1987 in two BBC TV series, Tutti Frutti and Fortunes of War, she won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress for her work in both.
Her first major film role was in the 1989 romantic comedy The Tall Guy. In 1992, Thompson won multiple acting awards, including an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award for Best Actress, for her performance in the British drama Howards End.
In 1993, Thompson garnered dual Academy Award nominations, as Best Actress for The Remains of the Day and as Best Supporting Actress for In the Name of the Father. She won a second Oscar in 1996, for best adapted screenplay for her adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, a film directed by Ang Lee, in which she also played the Oscar-nominated lead role opposite Hugh Grant.
Oh my Goodness! People in Hollywood are vapid supporters of their friends or hold opinions different from each other.
Someone should make a movie about this.
and Meryl Streep needs to go away too...
Lets be fair..Emma Thompson is not the running her mouth about Walt Disney. .
It Merrill Streep talking about both.
So for all we know Thompson wants Streep to STFU! as much as anybody..
I see no call to run Thompson down for Streeps big mouth
“...WTH is Emma Thompson anyway...”

Re Walt Disney, I don’t know if he were or were not an anti semite. One thing I do know is he is dead and cannot defend himself. This line from Julius Caesar is appropriate for those who would comment about him:
“...The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interrèd with their bones.
So let it be ....”
