It’s the doctors who are on the hook, not the hospital.

That isn’t how this stuff works.

A building cannot perform, or botch, a surgey.

The hospital is also on the hook. It doesn’t sound like they had adequate care for her after the surgery. It was one of her relatives that noticed her bleeding, not the nursing care for the hospital. A corporation can also be held liable.

Something very similar happened to a friend’s sister. She was in her early twenties at the time and started bleeding from her surgery, which went unnoticed by the staff until it was too late.
