Toy Story and Full Metal Jacket star R. Lee Ermey sparks outrage after posing with bodies of hunted lions
Toy Story and Full Metal Jacket star R. Lee Ermey has sparked outrage after photos of him hunting and killing lions in Africa surfaced on Facebook.
The 69-year-old former US Marine, who voices the soldier Sarge in the animated film and the drill sergeant in Stanley Kubricks 1987 movie, can be seen sat behind the carcasses of a lion and lioness with a rifle in his hand.
It is unclear when the photographs were taken but in a 2012 interview he spoke of going for the Big Five on a trip to South Africa.

A spokesman is quoted by the Mirror as saying: It takes no courage to stalk and kill animals. Lions are treated as living targets for the arrogant and ignorant with more money than morals.
Most people are appalled at someone like this man gunning down animals for a thrill, a trophy or a souvenir photograph.
Ermey has so far not commented.

No name of a reporter for this article. Is the news source afraid someone would find the reporter’s name to see what his affiliations are?
“It is a very successful capitalistic process that benefits everyone, hunters, guides, locals and the animals.”
You hit the nail on the head. Those that are outraged are anti-capitalist. They no more care about those lions than they do aborted babies, or the mutilated genitals of Muslim women.
There is a youtube video of a charging lion that after it was shot barely missed the 2 hunters as it ran at them and disappeared into the brush behind them.

Lions can climb.... : )

The manhood this demonstrates is daunting.
Hunting is killing for fun.
Killing for fun is sick.
How gracious of you to so inform us.
Including plants. Plants are defenseless.
He didnt have to use a gun. All he had to do was yell at the lion.
“And why dont we know the spokesmans name? Talk about courage.”
It might just be that the author knows nobody cares what the loser’s name is.

Ow, this an old trolling...
and I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Sorry.
I have pictures of myself with deer I’ve killed. I would post them here but you guys would laugh at me for killing Bambi. I take refuge in small deer are better eating than big ones.
