A police union reposts a video clip that had been proudly produced and posted by members the community's cultural demimonde, and the ACLU and other usual suspects are up in arms with outrage -- not against the reprehensible adults who surround a two-year old with vulgarities and racial epithets, but against the police union for pointing out the culture that encourages gang thuggery.

What right is being denied here? Can’t figure that out. Are the police in trouble for shaming this toddler’s free speech? Or is the claim that “thug” is a religion? That the thug community has the right to define existence and child upbringing as they see fit. Roe v Wade makes it clear that the gov’t can not intrude on people as they define the mysteries of life, the universe and everything.

I could see the latter being argued.

College athletes need to stay away from demimondes and seek out tutors! I think it is outrageous to hear them give interviews when they cannot even communicate coherently. The schools are not doing them any favors and it goes back to the soft bigotry of low expectations.

I suppose it's because they are in a shadow world, not part of real "society."

By the way, where I grew up, in the Bronx (near Yankee Stadium) the word "whore" was pronounced with two syllables. Sounded like "hoo-ah."

I was channel surfing the other day and clicked on three college basketball games. Of the 30 “student-athletes” I saw, not one was white. I’m okay with that if they are, in fact, student athletes and not hired guns.
